Robust Security Features Protect Against Fraud

Keep Your Transcript Paper Documents Safe And Secure

KeyPlus Products mission is to provide cost effective security methodologies that are extremely difficult to replicate or reverse engineer but also allow for easy verification of authenticity.

We believe the best way to slow document fraud is to utilize new technologies that easily verify the document as original. Too often the untrained person accepting the document overlooks the not so obvious, covert or complex security features. While these security features are useful, they are not always effective without layering with newer technologies. Here are some features that you can utilize to provide the security you need for your transcript paper documents.

NANO Ccpy Pantograph Color copiers obviously were not designed to counterfeit documents. They simply do what the name implies, and that is to make a copy as close as possible to the original. Understanding this, they must optically look at an image and determine how to best naturally copy the original. They have the job of a scanner and printer in one machine and are not very good at mimicking large and small elements at high resolutions. There will always be some LOSS or GAIN in the "conversion to copy" process which they will automatically enhance. Sometimes elements that are so small actually become smaller (or drop out) in the process and images that are a little larger will gain or distort in size. In the past, your standard big dot – little dot worked well enough that the copier gained and lost imagery at a greater rate than the copiers today. So the VOID message that used to appear no longer does because of the resolution improvements in scanning and printing. Big dot – little dot is obsolete.   A non generic true watermark paper with unique security images embedded into the paper, which can only be viewed by translucent "pass through" light. SafeImage™ security paper also incorporates chemical inclusion protection, toner fuse adhesion, blue and red visible fibers, invisible fluorescent fibers, and most important; this very high-end security paper is available only to security printers with certified and secure facilities.   In 1995 VFT began working with thermochromic inks. Verify First Technologies developed and applied for patents on the TouchSafe® and ThermoHide™ hidden message technologies which combine thermochromic and conventional inks. TouchSafe® is a fingerprint seal that requires the user's interaction and must be breathed on, rubbed or touched to verify authenticity. ThermoHide™ is a covert hidden message that both verifies authenticity and protects the document from copying or alteration attempts. In 1997 we developed and applied for patents on a new Copy/Void Pantograph, trademarked ThermoSafe™, which works in conjunction with thermochromic inks. When properly printed this technology has proved to be superior to all other Copy/Void Pantographs currently being offered.
